Description
Five Senses Restaurant and Bar opened on November 18th, 2004 by the brother and sister team of Mitchell and Mollie Murphree. The goal of Five Senses is to bring a fresh, healthy, and local approach to dining. We selected Murfreesboro, TN because of its population and industry boom of the late 90's and early 2000's. We wanted to be THE unique dining destination for the area. Georgetown Park was chosen as the location so that diners had to find us and really want to have something different! The name evolved from the thought that cooking was the only art that requires the use of all five senses. We offer only the highest quality of food, drink and service.
Five Senses Restaurant and Bar turned into Five Senses Restaurant, Bar and Catering in the Spring of 2007.
Five Senses Restaurant specializes in fresh seafood, local meats and produce and seasonal menus. Our dinner, cocktail and wine menus change around four times a year. We procure many of our foods from local farmers – Haskell Evans, 4K Farms and Batey Farms.
Mitchell Murphree became sole owner of Five Senses Restaurant in January 2011. He is also the executive chef. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park NY, Mitchell's cooking style is that of southern US regional using classic techniques.
From fresh & local food items, to parties in the private dining room, to catering of all sizes, Five Senses can do it all!
